Macon Little League Field - Anthony Road

About Macon Little League Ball Park
Macon Little League Ball Park is located on 2171 Anthony Road. Macon Little League is located in Georgia District 5 and has been a chartered member of Little League since 1953 and has been a participant in the Little League Urban Initiative for the past two years. It is estimated that this ball park alone serves between 200-300 boys and girls per season between the ages of 5 -18.
Mother's Day Tornado and Storm Damage
During the May 2008 Mother's Day Tornado storms, Macon Little League sustained an estimated $80,000.00 worth of damages to the fields, fences, dug-outs, press box, concession stands, electrical and plumbing. The Bibb County Board of Commissioners pledged $40,000.00 towards repairs and, to date, the park is in a safe and operable condition. Significant repairs have been made to the field, dug outs, bleachers, fencing, electrical and plumbing. With much hard work and dedication, the park was operable on opening day last Saturday, April 18, 2009.
With the basics of the field repaired in order to make the park operable by opening day, additional projects remain to fully restore this community haven for our children. The 2009 Class of Leadership Macon We has chosen to focus on replacing the roof on the Press box and re-painting all the exterior buildings. With Re-Building Macon overseeing the construction needs with their qualified general contractors and engineers, Leadership Macon, with your support, will provide labor and man-power to help make this happen!
